It is thanks to silver mining that many cultural assets came into being in the Middle Ages. Many of the sights in Tirol still fill people with amazement today. One holiday is not enough to visit the silver mine in Schwaz, Schloss Tratzberg high above the valley, the historic Achensee steam rack and pinion railway, the historic Zillertalbahn and the many other attractive sights.
