Schwaz fire brigade museum

In the newly built fire station for the volunteer fire brigade in Schwaz, right on the motorway exit in Schwaz old and new technology is brought together in a unique combination. Deployment vehicles featuring state-of-the-art construction stand right next to historic fire extinguishing equipment. In a variety of rooms and display cabinets in the 1st floor there are helmets, items of equipment and old photos is look at. In the large, very bright showroom there are lots of hand-, and horse-drawn pumps and ladders from times long past. The Schwaz fire fighters have set up this museum with a great deal of attention to detail. Old pumps and ladders have been extensively restored and are as true to the original as is possible. The large archive guarantees the objects on show can be changed continually. A visit which will leave young and old alike with lasting impressions.
