Route outline

The car park at St. Martin cemetery is located just a bit outside Schwaz, which makes it an

ideal starting point. You ride on the Christoph-Anton-Mayr path to where it joins onto Falkensteinstraße, then take a turn-off to the left and keep heading uphill towards Zintberg. Interim stop-off at Gasthof "Pfitscherhof" or further up at "Pirchneraste", and if perhaps even at Proxenalm itself (if the landlord is there). From Proxenalm, a superb view to the valley, the Karwendel mountain range opposite and the famous Kellerjoch chapel opens up before you.

A superb tour, which is not a difficult ride.

Characteristics:

A little used tarmac road takes you to the Zintberg and the Pirchneraste. From there a forest trail starts, heading to Plumpmooshütte and further on to Proxenalm.
