Outreach – Passion for Music

Building on the vision created by Franz Hackl, a composer from Tirol who now lives in New York, of having a platform for young and vibrant music - Outreach has, especially in the last few years, devised a globally unique profile through its clear contextual positioning and strategy; something which has been well worthwhile thanks to the constant high growth rates in public approval and media attention.

Whatever is played and taught at Outreach is characterised by a great appreciation of the key message of the respective music played. International virtuosos are invited to perform their own personal take on very different music styles without nets or make-up to the audience, and pass their knowledge on to Academy participants. The range of music on offer is correspondingly wide. There are live improvisations to silent films, a DJ grooves with drum & bass, a Jazz ensemble provides enthusiasm on the mountain, a Latin Band in the barn... everything comes together instantaneously, with unbeatable quality, whether it is in Hangar 7, in a festival tent or one of the other unique locations.
